RAVENOL UK
Aim:
To lead and execute Ravenol UK’s sales and marketing activity, strengthening brand presence, increasing commercial performance, and delivering clear, technically accurate communication across both trade and consumer markets.
Ravenol UK is the official UK distributor for RAVENOL, a premium German lubricant manufacturer recognised globally for its extensive OEM approvals, advanced oil technologies and strong involvement in motorsport. The UK operation serves a diverse audience, including trade specialists, performance workshops, motorsport teams and everyday vehicle owners seeking technically correct, manufacturer-approved lubricants.
The challenge within the UK market was not brand quality, but communication – translating Ravenol’s deep technical credibility into clear, accessible and engaging content that could perform across ecommerce, digital marketing, social media and trade-facing channels, while also supporting measurable commercial growth.
Production
Production House worked with Ravenol UK in the role of Sales and Marketing Manager, providing both strategic direction and hands-on execution across all key areas of the business’s sales, marketing and digital activity.
Rather than operating as a traditional agency delivering isolated assets, Production House functioned as an embedded extension of the Ravenol UK team, responsible for planning, implementing and maintaining consistent marketing output while aligning closely with commercial objectives.
Sales & Marketing Strategy
At a strategic level, this involved shaping Ravenol UK’s overall marketing direction – balancing trade-focused credibility with consumer-facing accessibility. Particular emphasis was placed on:
- Positioning OEM approvals and technical specifications as trust signals
- Supporting specialist and motorsport customers without alienating everyday users
- Ensuring messaging remained consistent across all platforms
Marketing activity was structured to support both short-term sales performance and long-term brand equity, with a clear focus on credibility, clarity and relevance.
Content Creation & Brand Communication
Production House delivered ongoing photography, videography and written content, ensuring Ravenol UK maintained a consistent and recognisable visual and editorial identity.
This included:
- Product photography optimised for ecommerce and digital platforms
- Lifestyle imagery designed to humanise a highly technical product category
- Short-form and long-form video content for social media, campaigns and brand education
- Blog and editorial content aimed at explaining complex technical topics in plain language
Content was carefully structured to remain technically accurate while still being approachable, helping bridge the gap between enthusiast-level understanding and specialist-grade information.
Ecommerce, SEO & Platform Management
A significant part of the role involved hands-on ecommerce and platform management. Production House supported Ravenol UK with:
- SEO-led product descriptions and category structures
- Accurate presentation of OEM approvals, specifications and viscosity standards
- Google Merchant Centre setup, optimisation and ongoing compliance
- Google Search Console monitoring and issue resolution
- Paid advertising support and performance optimisation
This ensured that Ravenol UK’s product catalogue was not only visually strong, but also correctly structured, searchable and compliant across Google and ecommerce platforms — a critical requirement within the automotive lubricant sector.
Trade, Motorsport & Community Engagement
Beyond consumer marketing, Production House also supported Ravenol UK’s trade and motorsport-facing activity. This included:
- Content and communication aimed at specialists and workshops
- Supporting sponsorships, events and motorsport partnerships
- Creating educational and community-driven content to reinforce technical authority
- Helping develop lifestyle-led campaigns that aligned with Ravenol’s performance-driven ethos
This approach allowed Ravenol UK to speak confidently to multiple audiences without diluting its core brand values or technical credibility.
Ongoing Management & Delivery
Throughout the project, Production House maintained responsibility for:
- Day-to-day marketing delivery
- Campaign planning and execution
- Cross-platform consistency
- Balancing creative output with commercial performance
The result was a structured, reliable marketing function that could scale alongside Ravenol UK’s growth, while remaining grounded in technical accuracy and enthusiast trust.
